The Healthcare Consultant provides advanced technical advice to support a variety of pre-sales activities, including customer consulting, product presentation, and project management of Roche IT solution.
This includes the responsibility of customer engagement for system solutions of the Roche IT products to Roche Diagnostic instrumentation and customers’ medical systems (LIS, EMR, etc.
Assists Field Project Managers and Sales / Marketing Staff in assessing the application of Roche IT Solution products and customer lab workflows to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the implementation and integration of customer applications and / or solutions.
Role and Responsibilities :
Responsible for obtaining customer requirements prior to project start.
Determines customer needs and sets appropriate installation expectations, ensuring resources are aligned and available to complete the required activities within the prescribed time-frame.
Performs validation process of IT solutions to evaluate effectiveness. Ensures all customers are fully satisfied with their IT product installation.
Assessment of customer lab workflows and current testing environment. Translates into Roche IT Solution configuration settings and lab workflow recommendation.
Consults with customers and key stakeholders to design and implement highly complex workflows to maximize the Roche IT Solution for the customer.
Assist in highly complex customer pre sales calls to ensure we are providing the right solution for the customer.
Designs, gains agreement, and communicates professional project plans for customer implementations which confirm with Roche policies and procedures.
Directs and coordinates activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and meets specified project performance parameters.
Responsible for administrative requirements including budgeting, expensing, project reports, documentation, status reports, and adherence.
Provides expert technical advice to internal resources and customers, in the implementation of Roche solutions and investigation and resolution of complex issues.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Roche IT solutions across the Roche organization, including field and support staff.
Liaise with the global life-cycle teams to ensure product readiness for the Roche organization, including review of installation documentation, internal and external product testing, and internal procedure and documentation updates.
Collaborate with marketing team to provide marketing strategy for Roche IT Solution.
Participates in the review of requirements for new product development.
Leads new hire training and mentors new hire and less experienced team members.
Qualification and Knowledge :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences with minimum 2 years experiences in laboratory IT or diagnostic company.
Certified Lean Sigma, Lab Workflow and Lab Layout Design is favorable.
In-depth knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes and workflows.
Understand healthcare domain integration standards (HL7, ASTM, IHE, DICOM, HIPAA, ADT, etc.).
Strong understanding of Roche total solution including interaction between Roche IT Solutions and Instruments.
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, and drive resolution.
Having experience in project or process management.
Able to converse and write in English
Highly Effective communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with and translate requirements for both technical and non-technical groups.
